Question- What Makes RG-11 Quad Superior to Others?
Answer- RG-11 is the Largest of the commonly used 75 ohm "Drop Cable" series used for Cable TV, Satellite and Antenna installations. From there, Larger (less Lossier) cable would then be comprised of a solid Aluminum Shield (Rigid) Cable that would be greater than a half inch in diameter, cost more than 35 cents a foot and a King's ransom to deliver. Quad Shielding is Basically 100% shielding via Four Layers of Aliminum Foil and Braid alternated around the Core. This Minimizes to the point of Eliminating Interference Migrating into the Cable from Sources Outside that would be on the same Frequencies as those used by Your System. Folks Typically Use this cable as the end all solution for distances of between 75 and 150 feet between Satellite Dish and Receiver, or Several Hundred feet between the Cable TV Tap (or Antenna) and the House!
